Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Scheme: The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan is a initiative aimed at addressing the issue of unemployment and fostering inclusive progress in Assam. Under the scheme the Government, shall empower the youth of the state by providing fund as well as skill training to set up their own business. In the long run the scheme definitely help the State to tackle unemployment.

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Scheme Highlights:

The initiative seeks to encourage self-income opportunities by promoting entrepreneur youths of low income households.

The scheme intends to to target 2 Lakh youth in two years.

The scheme is suitable for income generating business ideas such as Poultry, Dairy, Goatery, Piggery, Fisheries etc.

The beneficiaries as per their eligibility will receive 2 Lakh to 5 Lakh in multiple installments in a mix of Government grant and interest free Government loan.

Skill training to be imparted to selected candidates.

50 % of the financial assistance will be Government subsidy and 50 % will be interest free Government loan.

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Scheme

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2023: The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan for the first time launched in 2023. Till now more than 2 Lakhs applicants has been registered and more than 1 Lakhs submitted their application in the portal. On September 30, 2024, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma officially distributed the first Tranche of Rs. 75000 to the 25238 beneficiaries. The second tranche of Rs. 25000 will be credited to the beneficiaries after completion of a two days training and the third installment will be credited as per the progress of the business.

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Scheme 2024:

The primary motive of the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan, is to provide self-employment opportunities to 2 Lakh youths of Assam. For completions of the above (2 Lakh youths) target the Government invites application from the intending and eligible candidates of the State. Interested candidates can submit their application for Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan by visiting official website (www.cmaaa.assam.gov.in).

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Scheme Eligibility:

The applicant should be permanent resident of Assam and should be above 28 years and below 40 years as on 1st April 2023 (upper age limit is relaxed to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category).

Minimum Qualification for the scheme is X pass

The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., to undertake the income generating activities.

The applicant should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31st December 2023.

The applicant should have not defaulted any loan taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.

Not more than one member from any family shall be eligible for availing benefit under this scheme.

The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.

# First of all candidates need register themselves in the official website (www.cmaaa.assam.gov.in). As only registered candidate can submit their application.

# After registration, candidate can login to their account by entering mobile number and OTP.

# Now click the “Apply for Scheme” option. Fill the necessary details and upload required documents along with the Project Report.

# After successful submission an acknowledgement slip will be generated along with a reference number. Keep that safely for tracking your application status regularly.
