Introduction :
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th JULY, 2011 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. A person, before appointed as a teacher he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.
The Ministry of Education has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi.
CTET-December Application Form 2024 :
The Central Board of Secondary Education (NCTE) conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) twice, in a year, i.e., CTET-July and CTET-December. CTET-July was already conducted by NCTE on 07th July 2024 and the result has been published on 31st July 2024. In order to conduct CTET-December,2024 Like in previous years, NCTE has released a notification of CTET-December,2024. Hereby, online applications are invited from the intended and eligible candidates to appear in the CTET-December, 2024 examination, which will be held in December.

CTET-December 2024- Exam Date :
The National Council for Secondary Education will conduct the CTET-December, 2024 in 1st December, 2024. Please check the below table for more details:

CTET-December 2024- Eligibility :
Educational Qualification :
Educational qualifications for Paper I and Paper II Teacher Eligibility Test are as Follows:
Paper I :
Applicants must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and
completed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Paper II :
Applicants must have passed Bachelor’s in any Discipline from a Recognized University. Additionally, candidates who have cleared or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with at least 50% marks are eligible.
Age :
The minimum age to appear in CTET is 18 Years. There is no Maximum age limit in the application.

Structure and Content :
All questions in the Teacher Eligibility Test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which
one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers …
Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. |
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. |
If a candidate intends to be a teacher for both levels will have to
appear in both the papers Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I (for Classes I to V)
In Paper I (for Classes I to V), total number of questions will be 150 and total duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

Language of the Question Paper :
the question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English)
Qualifying Marks and Validity Period of Certificate :
A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass and he/she will be awarded with Marks-sheet and Certificate with lifetime validity period.
Admit Card :
The candidates may download e-Admit Card from CTET official website and appear for the examination
at the given Centre.
Documents Required :
Before proceeding to the online application form, candidates must note the following facts:
Uploading of scanned Photo (latest) and Signature are mandatory. |
Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. |
Size of scanned photograph should be between 10to100KB |
Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) |
Size of scanned signature should be between 3 KB to 30 KB |
Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height). |
