The Directorate of Secondary Education is a government organization in Assam. It was created on 29 March 1985, aiming to improve quality and standards of school education and literacy towards building a society committed to Cultural Values and Ethics . The primary objective of the organization is to provide compulsory education to all youths in the age group of 14-18 years. Secondary education Assam ensures that all secondary schools have infrastructural facilities, and staffing patterns as per norms and prescribe standards To improve the quality of secondary education resulting in enhanced intellectual, social, and cultural learning.

# No multiple application shall be accepted.
# Application Fee:
- General Category Rs. 500/- ( Rupees Five Hundred only).
- OBC/ MOBC/ ST(H)/ ST(P)/SC/ PwD/ Others Rs. 350/- (Rupees Three Hundred Fifty only).

# Candidates already in government service must upload a “No Objection Certificate” against the applied post, issued by the competent authority. (NOC after filling of online application shall not be entertained)
# The examination venue district will be Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari and Sonitpur. Candidate will have to select his/ her Examination Venue district during filling up of online application form.
# The examination will be of 150 Minutes and will consist of 140 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
# Question paper will be given in multi-lingual form, viz. Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English medium, however in case of confusion/ discrepancies, the English version shall be treated as authentic version.
# a draft merit list will be published with a ratio of 2 candidates against one vacancy before verification. After verification a final merit list shall be published.
# Merit list of candidates for Graduate Teacher/ Post Graduate Teacher shall be based on the total of marks obtained in the TET cum Recruitment Test and as per selection criteria mentioned in the earlier advertisement.
